There's something wonderful about finding a place where you fit in; where missing Daddies are the norm and Mommies are a plenty. Where your fears and frustrations are met with a deep understanding and respect. A place where people say "I know what you mean" and guess what? They really do. The bottom line? Hangin' with other Army wives this weekend was a total blast.

We had a little shin-dig at my home, and it was so much fun. The kids ran around in the 70 degree weather, scoured the yard for Easter eggs, and enjoyed an appearance from Chili the Wonder Rabbit. The adults dined on tacos, packed care packages for the men, and began making preparations for the soldiers who are returning from Africa in a few months. Can't wait until we are doing the same.

Homecoming plans.

I can only imagine.

All in all, a great weekend.

Missin' our Daddies but still having a good time.

Tell me this is not the most patient animal you have ever seen.

Yes, Chili is on a harness. Once all was said and done, Chili happily hopped back in his carrier, something they said he has never done before. Usually he protests, but not after a day at my house!

So glad you had friends to enjoy your day with and friends who get it! I have friends who love me, pray for me, but they're not in the Army...they don't face life with their husband's gone every other year for a year or MORE...they try but can not completely get it. I treasure my Army wife friends.
