There is really no other way to put it.
I visited the bathroom, like any smart pregnant woman does, before starting my shift at work. It's usually my one and only chance to go before things get crazy.
I was not prepared to see blood.
Not at 11 weeks.
Not since we told our children and they are over the moon with excitement.
Not since the second trimester/"home free" is only days away.
And why at work . . . again?
I did the same thing with my first, and walking out to chattering co-workers, in tears, is one of the worst things to go through. Never have I wanted to disappear so quickly in my life; just be in the warmth of my home, comfort of my family, etc.
This was like a repeat of nine years ago, and it was such a bummer.
So now we wait until 1:00, when a US tech/total stranger will tell my husband and I some of the most important news of our lives.
Do we still have a son or daughter?
Do my children still have a brother or sister?
It's amazing how quickly life can change with just one bathroom break . . .

Hey Amy -- Just so you know that I am not some stalker looking at your page and leaving comments on something so personal...Its me..Penny Walkup from WAHS. You gave me your blog last year and I have visited periodically. I don't leave a lot of comments but something moved me to do so today. Take care.
