Anna's Adoption: Searching for a Sibling

Anna's Adoption: Searching for a Sibling
I recently read an article that discussed genetic testing for adopted children. At the end of the article, it listed a site for parents with children from China. There is a group that is working towards a DNA bank for children adopted from China. They are in the beginning stages and need people to complete a survey of interest. The whole site is interesting. Please take a peek and let me know your thoughts. This is something I really want to know more about.

I don't know...I think each child is so different in how they deal with those issues. My brother never wanted to know anymore about biological family neither did my good friend who was born in Korea. But, I've heard the stories of those who have mourned the loss. Will finding their biological ancestors make things better for them? Who knows.

I don't know much about these DNA databanks, but don't they store someone's DNA for a long time and how secure is that? What if it got into the wrong hands?

Heavy questions...
