Golden

After years of dealing with embarrassing, annoying, painful, and just not getting better health issues, I had surgery on Wednesday to hopefully fix the problems.

Tonsils out.

Things taken out, burnt, and straightened in my nose.

Rectocele repaired.

My GYN had this great idea that it would be better to do both at once, which will cut down on my recovery time in the long run.

Right now I feel like I've been run over by a mac truck.

I'd have to say that the tonsils, or lack there of, are bothering me the most. My tongue is also very swollen and sore, and I learned today that this is from the clamp that they use to hold the tongue out of the way throughout the procedure. Prior to learning about this, I thought I was going nuts. Who complains of tongue pain after having their tonsils out?

I've put on 12 lbs of fluid and have not "used the bathroom" since Tuesday. Look up rectocele repair and you'll see why this is becoming more and more concerning.

Anyone out there been through something similar? Ideas for a sore tongue? How to get things moving down below?

Sorry. Rather gross post, but this blog is about my life, and right now my inability to poop is my number one concern. So I'm sharing that with you.

It's the Percocet talking. I'm going to look back at this post in a few days, weeks, etc. and be mortified. Oh well.

Should I also mention that I can't lift anything more than 10 lbs for six weeks?
