So one thing at a time is going away.

His coat went this morning, his tennis shoes last night. Everything tossed around the house will eventually be tucked away, waiting for him to come home.

I am leaving the pair of shoes by the back door so that people will think there is still a man in the house. Is it a lame reason? Maybe, but at least it makes me feel better.

I did my first load of laundry yesterday where there was nothing of his in the basket.

It's a strange feeling to be putting things away, but it's part of accepting that he's gone for now.

And it's this acceptance, adaptation, and coping that brings us one step closer to the day that he comes home.

We can do this . . .

Hi Amy! Chad comes home for R&R in a month or two, he moved to a different company so that got pushed back a bit. But right now we're at 7 months since he left...we have 8 to go.

God Bless

Yes you can! I am praying for you for peace and God's strength during this time of separation. It's so hard....I can't imagine what you are going through but I'm proud of you and I know God will see you both through!
