Today is the Day!

I woke up this morning to an email telling me that hubby will be in Atlanta around 11:30 AM. From there he will jump on a connecting flight that should have him home around 2:00.

Time to swing into action!

I want it all to be so nice and clean, i.e. no hint of DUST, for him. I'm washing our bedsheets and making certain the bathroom is ready for two again. When he left I put away his razor, deodorant, etc., and now it's time to get those things out again. After seven months in Iraq, I'm sure a shower in your own home has to be heavenly.

Making sure the kids are clean and "groomed". Have their special shirts ready that we mostly likely will not put on until we get to the airport.

I picked up a nice little shirt yesterday with some new earrings to boot. I'm going to cover my grays dye my hair this morning and may even put on some new toe nail polish. MaMa's steppin' up!

On a side note, I did get waxed and "spiffed" up down there, but it didn't go well. I have large bruises on my inner thighs, which has never happened to me before. Thoughts anyone?

We have a photographer through the Army's OpLove program coming to take photos of our reunion. Dave and the kids aren't aware of this so hopefully things will be as natural as possible. I want to capture these moments forever as I know they are going to be priceless.

Off to clean. I know that 2:00 seems so far away but I'm sure it'll be here before I know it! Be back soon with photos from our big day!

You are one funny gal! Ouch...never heard of bruising before down there from waxing...but then again, I've never taken the plunge!

Well, my goal was to mearly "tame" not eliminate my hair. I do this occasionally and it's great because I don't have to shave and get the bumps, which look rather gross during summertime.
This lady did something really wrong. I was able to go back and get my money back. She took one look at it and asked me if I was healthy because she's never seen brusing like that. At least it's had almost a week to tone down some.
