The Radison in Beijing

Yea! So many of you are getting referrals! What great news! I can't believe one year ago we were officially on deck and now we are in the BTDT crowd. Time really does fly! I've had a few friends ask about our trip, what to pack, leave at home, etc. so I thought I'd share some pictures and "advice". Please feel free to email me with questions. I know this is such an exciting time for you as you get ready for a trip of a lifetime!
We stayed in the Radisson while in Beijing. This was a five star Italian Deco Room. It was fine. No complaints. Were the beds hard? Yes, but we were so tired it did not bother us. Some people called down to the front desk and got extra blankets to sleep on. I would recommend bringing something to help you sleep whether it be Ambien or Benadryl. Depending on your flight time and how much you sleep on the way over, you may have a tough time for the first few days. We were lucky. Our flight left in the middle of the night. We slept for eight hours on the plane, and by the time we got to our hotel it was time for bed and we were ready to sleep. We had no jet lag issues. Most flights, however, tend to leave during the middle of the day, and many people in our group had a hard time sleeping that night. They were dragging the next day while we went everywhere in Beijing. Bring something so that you can get a decent nights sleep. You don't want this trip to be ruined by fatigue!
